You can use the following tickets to ride trams and buses operated by Lignes d’Azur in Nice.
To access the airport, please purchase a round-trip airport ticket.
Please note that SNCF trains (French National Railways) are not included with Lignes d’Azur tickets.
※Children under 4 years old can travel for free. Children aged 4 and above pay the same fare as adults.
The photos may show tickets that are no longer sold or display outdated prices, but the ticket machine operation remains the same.
Ticket machines are installed at several tram stations. You can purchase most types of tickets from these machines. Some major stations also have manned ticket counters. However, these counters are often crowded, so learning to use the ticket machines can save you time.
Use the dial and OK button located at the bottom right of the screen to operate the machine. Banknotes are generally not accepted; payment can be made with coins or a credit card. When using a credit card, be careful not to let others see your PIN.
First, use the dial to select your language from the top menu, then press the OK button.
Select “English,” which is the second option from the top.
Choose your desired ticket and press the OK button.
The total fare will be displayed. Pay with coins or a credit card. Once the payment is complete, your ticket will be issued.

▲ Nice-Ville Station
▲ Station
The departure station for long-distance trains in Nice is Nice-Ville Station. Unlike the terminal-style platforms commonly seen at major stations in large French cities, Nice-Ville features island platforms. The station has seven tracks, and high-speed TGV trains provide access to major cities such as Paris, Marseille, and Lyon. However, since there is no dedicated high-speed line between Nice and Marseille, the travel time is roughly the same whether you take the TGV, the Intercités (IC) express train, or the regional TER train. Due to its proximity to the Italian border, express trains to Italy also operate from this station.
